Beef Pot Roast - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. rump roast or round beef
    1 Tbsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. cooking oil
    water to cover meat
    1 onion, peeled
    6 potatoes, halved
Preparation
    Wipe meat with damp cloth.
    Place oil in heavy saucepan and heat.
    Place meat in
    pan
    and
    brown
    on
    all sides.
    Add water, onion and potatoes.
    Cover
    and
    simmer slowly over low heat until tender, about 3 or 4 hours.
    Serve hot.
