Red Beans And Rice(Serves 6) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 cans kidney beans or 1 lb. dried beans
1/2 c. butter
3/4 c. celery, chopped
2 tsp. garlic, chopped
3/4 c. onion (yellow), chopped
3/4 c. green pepper, chopped
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. thyme
1/2 tsp. oregano
2 bay leaves
2 tsp. paprika
1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
1 lb. sausage, cooked and sliced (optional)
1/2 c. parsley (fresh)
oven rice
Preparation

Melt butter in skillet; add onion, celery, green pepper and garlic and saute.
Stir in all spices; add canned beans (or add to prepared dried beans and cook 1 hour uncovered) and heat.
Add sausage (optional) and heat.
Remove bay leaves and stir in parsley.
Serve over oven rice with corn bread.
