Boston Cream Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. canned cream
    1 c. white Karo syrup
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Boil together first 3 ingredients until mixture forms a soft ball in cold water.
    Stir constantly.
    Remove from fire.
    Let cool until hand can be held on bottom of pan.
    Beat until smooth and creamy.
    Add 1 teaspoon vanilla and 1 cup nuts.
    Pour into wax paper-lined pan.
    Cut into squares when cool.
