Peanut Butter Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. milk, scalded
1 c. sugar
4 egg yolks, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
2 Tbsp. cornstarch
3 or 4 Tbsp. smooth peanut butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. butter
1 baked 9-inch pie shell
Preparation

Scald milk.
Mix together sugar, salt and cornstarch until well blended.
Add scalded milk, very slowly, stirring until smooth.
Add beaten egg yolks.
Cook mixture in top of double boiler, stirring often, until thickened.
Remove from heat; stir in peanut butter and butter until well blended.
Pour into baked pastry shell; top with meringue made from 4 egg whites.
