Easy Beef Stroganoff - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 or 2 bay leaves
    1 or 2 pounds slightly frozen round steak (or any steak)
    1/2 to 1 c. flour
    3 Tbsp. cooking oil
    1 tsp. onion powder (may use fresh onion)
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder (may use fresh garlic)
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp pepper
    1/2 to 1 c. water
    1 to 2 tsp worcestershire sauce
    8 oz. sour cream
    8 oz. sliced mushrooms (optional)
Preparation
    Slice steak into 2 by 2 pieces. Heat oil in a large skillet or dutch oven to medium. Add meat and brown slightly. Add flour mixing until evenly coated. Add onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook until
    meat appears done. Add enough
    of the water to make a gravy. Add the bay leaf and simmer for 45 minutes. Remove the bay leaf and add the mushrooms. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes. Remove from heat and add the
    sauce and the sour cream. Let stand 5 minutes. Serve
    over noodles, mashed potatoes or rice. Serves 6.
