Orange Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. sugar
1 orange, juice and grated rind
1 pt. hot water
2 eggs
2 Tbsp. flour or cornstarch
Preparation

Take 3/4 cup sugar and add flour or cornstarch.
Place in kettle over fire and add hot water and butter.
Boil until thick. Take remainder of sugar, add yolks of 2 eggs, juice and rind of orange and stir into other mixture; cook until thick (may also add small amount of lemon juice, rind or flavoring).
Pour into pastry and top with meringue made from the whites of eggs used for filling.
