Funnel Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 eggs
    2 c. milk
    4 c. flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    lard or other shortening (for frying)
    powdered sugar
Preparation
    Beat eggs and milk.
    Sift dry ingredients together; add egg-milk mixture, beating as you pour.
    Continue beating until smooth.
    Let batter stand a few minutes while you heat 3 to 4 inches of fat to 375\u00b0.
    Pour batter into small pitcher for easier handling.
    Take an ordinary household funnel and put your finger over the end of it.
    Pour some batter into mouth of funnel; take off your finger and let batter drop into hot fat, swirling it around and around until it is 3 inches in diameter.
    Fry until light golden brown.
    Drain on paper towels.
    Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
    Serve hot. Makes about 12 cakes.
