*Pecan Crisps - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1 egg yolk
    3 Tbsp. milk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Cut with pastry blender until mixture is blended.
    Round up in 2 balls.
    Roll very thin on cloth covered pastry board.
    Brush each half with unbeaten egg white. Top with chopped pecans.
    Cut into squares.
    Place on greased cookie sheet; bake at 375\u00b0 for 9 to 10 minutes.
