Meat Balls In Chili Gravy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. bread crumbs
    1/3 c. Pet canned milk
    3/4 lb. ground beef
    3 Tbsp. onion, chopped
    3/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    1/3 c. chili sauce or catsup
    1/3 c. water
    1/3 c. celery, chopped
    2 Tbsp. horseradish
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Preparation
    Mix bread crumbs, milk, meat, onion, salt and pepper.
    Form into small balls.
    Brown balls in shortening.
    Mix chili sauce, water, celery, horseradish and lemon juice.
    Pour sauce over meat balls.
    Cook covered 20 minutes, stirring and turning balls in sauce.
    Beef, veal, lamb or lean pork can be used but beef is best.
