Yellow Squash Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. yellow squash
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. cracker crumbs
    dash of pepper
    1 egg
    1 medium onion, sliced
    3 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 c. grated cheese
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Boil onion and squash together until done; drain and season with butter, salt and pepper.
    Mash.
    Add cracker crumbs, 1/2 of the cheese, milk and egg.
    Stir.
    Pour into baking dish and top with remaining cheese.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
