Black Walnut Pound Cake(This Recipe Is 125 Years Old) - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. butter
1/2 c. shortening
3 c. sugar
5 large eggs
3 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. evaporated milk
1/2 tsp. black walnut flavoring
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped black walnuts
Preparation

Cream
butter
and shortening.\tAdd sugar and beat until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time. Beat well after each addition.
Add flavorings.\tMix 1/4 cup flour with nuts and set aside.
Add the

3/4\tcups flour alternately with milk.
Fold in nuts
with spoon.
Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 1 hour
and

minutes
in
a 325\u00b0 oven.
Cool 5 minutes in pan.
Turn out and cool.
