Country Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1 Tbsp. reduced-calorie margarine, melted
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. dried whole basil
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. dried whole oregano
    1/2 tsp. dried whole thyme
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, undrained and chopped
    1 (8 oz.) can red kidney beans, undrained
Preparation
    Saute onion and garlic in margarine in a large saucepan until tender.
    Add salt, basil, chili powder, oregano, thyme and pepper, stirring well.
    Stir in tomatoes and beans.
    Simmer, uncovered, for 10 to 15 minutes.
    Serve hot.
    Yields 6 (2/3-cup) servings.
