Ingredients

1 c. butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 pkg. German chocolate, melted and cooled
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
2 (8-inch) pie shells, baked and cooled
whipped cream
Preparation

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 8 to 10 minutes).
Blend chocolate and vanilla until well mixed.
Add each egg, one at a time, beating 2 or 3 minutes after each addition with an electric mixer.
Pour into cooled pie shell.
Top with whipped cream; garnish with shaved chocolate.
