Corn Meal Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sweet milk
1/2 c. shortening
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. sifted meal
2 eggs
1 cake yeast
1/4 c. warm water
5 c. plain flour
Preparation

Bring milk to boil, quickly add shortening, salt, sugar and meal; stir and cook until mixture thickens (5 minutes) and cool. Add well beaten eggs, dissolve yeast in warm water and stir into mixture.
Add flour, mix well and put in refrigerator to chill. Remove after 1 hour.
Add enough flour to handle.
Shape into rolls.
Place in greased muffin pans.
Let rise 40 minutes, then bake at 450\u00b0 for 10 to 15 minutes.
Makes a lot.
