Round Steak Sauerbraten - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. round steak (1/2-inch thick)
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 envelope brown gravy mix
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. instant minced onion
    2 Tbsp. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    1/4 tsp. pepper and 1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
    1 bay leaf
    hot buttered noodles
Preparation
    Cut meat in 1-inch squares.
    In large skillet, brown meat in hot oil.
    Remove meat from skillet; add gravy mix and water. Bring to boiling, stirring constantly.
    Stir in remaining ingredients, except noodles.
    Return meat to skillet, cover and simmer 1 1/2 hours, stirring occasionally.
    Remove bay leaf. Serve meat over hot buttered noodles.
    Serves 5 to 6.
