Sugar Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 c. shortening (half butter)
    1 c. sour milk
    1 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 tsp. soda
    4 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. orange extract
Preparation
    Cream sugar and eggs.
    Add shortening and cream thoroughly. Add sour milk, alternately with dry ingredients.
    Add soda which has been dissolved in a small amount of boiling water.
    Add flavoring.
    Dough will be very soft.
    Roll out on floured board (not too thin) before cutting them.
    Sprinkle generously over the top with sugar.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 12 minutes.
    Yields 4 dozen.
