Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/3 c. shortening
1/2 c. boiling water
1/3 c. molasses
1/3 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Place shortening in mixing bowl.
Pour boiling water over it. Let stand until melted.
Add molasses, sugar and unbeaten egg. Stir until sugar is dissolved.
Sift dry ingredients together. Add to mixture.
Beat until smooth.
Will be very thin.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 40 minutes.
