Ingredients

2 c. sugar
1 c. margarine or butter
1 c. peanut butter
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 c. chopped nuts (if desired)
Preparation

Cream sugar and butter.
Add eggs and peanut butter.
Add rest of ingredients and mix well.
Chill at least 2 hours or overnight. Roll into walnut size balls.
Place on ungreased baking sheet and flatten with a fork.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Do not overbake.
Makes 7 to 8 dozen.
