Easy English Toffee - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    6 Hershey bars or 1 c. chocolate chips
    1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
    1 lb. sugar (about 2 c.)
Preparation
    Cook butter and sugar to brittle stage when tried in cold water.
    Pour onto greased cookie sheet.
    When cool, spread with melted chocolate and sprinkle with nuts.
    When hard, break in pieces and store in airtight container.
