Pancake Syrup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. hot water
    1 lb. sugar
    1/2 tsp. maple flavoring
Preparation
    In 2 quart glass
    casserole
    boil
    water
    (about
    2 1/2 minutes).
    Add brown sugar and heat 2 to 3 minutes until sugar is dissolved,
    stirring
    frequently as mixture boils.
    Stir in flavoring.
    Makes 2 cups.
