Cherry Pink Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 3/4 c. unbleached all-purpose flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 (9 oz.) jar maraschino cherries
    1/2 c. maraschino cherry juice (from cherry jar)
    1 large egg
    1/4 c. skim milk
    1/4 c. (1/2 stick) melted butter
Preparation
    Line muffin wells with pink and white paper cups.
    Sift together dry ingredients.
    Stir to blend and make a well in center.
    Drain cherries, reserving juice.
    Finely chop and measure cherries (should be about 3/4 cup).
