Tea Biscuits(Makes 12 Biscuits) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cake yeast (can use 1 pkg. dry yeast)
    1/2 c. milk, scalded and cooled
    1/2 c. lukewarm water
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    3 1/2 c. flour, sifted
    1 scant tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. shortening, melted
Preparation
    Dissolve yeast and sugar in lukewarm water.
    Add melted shortening and half of flour.
    Beat well until smooth.
    Add salt and balance of flour (or at least enough to make a moderately firm dough).
    Knead thoroughly.
    Roll and cut with biscuit cutter. Place on well-greased pan a slight distance apart.
    Cover and let rise (about 2 hours).
    Bake in 425\u00b0 oven for 10 minutes.
