Pork With Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. spareribs
    1 qt. sauerkraut
    1 large onion, quartered
    1 bay leaf
    1/4 tsp. caraway seed
    1 Tbsp. barley
Preparation
    Cover the spareribs with cold water; bring to a boil.
    Skim the fat.
    Add all ingredients, except barley.
    Simmer, uncovered, for 2 hours, or until the meat is tender.
    Add barley 20 minutes before meat is done.
