Microwave Pecan Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. light corn syrup
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. raw pecan halves
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 tsp. butter
    1 tsp. sifted baking soda
Preparation
    In a 2-quart glass dish or bowl, combine sugar, syrup and salt.
    Cover and microwave on High for 4 minutes.
    Add pecans and stir.
    Cover and microwave on High for another 4 minutes.
    Stir in vanilla and butter.
    Add baking soda and stir quickly.
    Pour onto greased cookie sheet and spread evenly.
    Allow to cool, then break into pieces.
