Cheesy Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. ground beef
    1 large onion
    2 cans kidney beans
    2 cans tomato soup
    2 Tbsp. chili powder
    4 (1 oz.) slices Velveeta cheese
    1 hot pepper (optional)
Preparation
    Brown the ground beef and drain.
    Chop the onion and add to the ground beef.
    Drain the kidney beans and add to mix; also add soup and chili powder.
    Cook slowly for 1 hour.
    If a warm chili is desired, add the hot pepper mixture.
    Just before serving, add cheese and stir until melted.
