Peach Butter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 lb. peaches
    2 c. water
    sugar
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. cloves
Preparation
    Peel peaches.
    Remove pits and spots.
    Place in kettle with water and cook until tender.
    Rub through sieve and measure.
    To each cup of pulp, allow 2/3 cup of sugar.
    Add spices.
    Cook until thick, stirring frequently.
    Pour into sterilized, hot jars and seal.
