Steak In A Skillet - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 to 2 1/2 lb. round steak, cut in strips
1/4 c. water
1/4 c. chopped onion
4 carrots, sliced
4 potatoes, quartered
1 green pepper, chopped
1 c. diced celery
1 tsp. sugar
1 tsp. vinegar
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 c. diced tomatoes
1 c. peas
dash of Worcestershire sauce

Preparation

Brown meat in shortening.
Add water, onion and dash of Worcestershire sauce.
Cover and cook slowly 1 hour.
Add carrots, potatoes, pepper, celery, sugar, vinegar, salt and pepper.
Cover and cook 20 minutes.
Add tomatoes and peas.
Cook 10 minutes or until vegetables are tender.
Makes 6 servings.
