Italian Sausage Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. Italian sausage
    fresh or canned mushrooms
    1 onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 large can whole tomatoes
    1 medium can tomato sauce
    3 Tbsp. soy sauce
    1 tsp. oregano
    1 to 2 tsp. cumin, if desired
    pepper to taste
Preparation
    Remove sausage from casing and crumble meat into frying pan. Discard casings.
    Brown meat and then remove to a separate dish. Place onion, pepper and mushrooms in same frying pan (add a little oil, if needed).
    Cook until just tender.
    Cut tomatoes into large chunks and add to mixture.
    (Don't add all of the liquid from the can.)
    Add the sausage
    and spices.
    Simmer for about 10 minutes. Add tomato sauce and simmer a little longer.
    Serve with chips or crackers.
