Banana Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. sugar
    4 Tbsp. flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    2 c. milk
    2 egg yolks, beaten
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 bananas
    1 baked 9-inch pastry shell
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients with a small amount of milk.
    Add remaining milk.
    Cook over boiling water, stirring until thick. Cover and cook for 15 minutes longer, stirring occasionally.
    Add a small amount of hot mixture to egg yolks.
    Return to hot mixture and cook a few minutes longer.
    Add butter and vanilla; stir well. Slice bananas into pie shell.
    Pour filling over.
    Cool slightly.
