Old Fashioned Gold Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
7 egg yolks
2 c. sugar
4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1 tsp. lemon extract
1 c. sour milk

Preparation

Cream butter until fluffy.
Add well beaten egg yolks and sugar; beat well.
Sift flour, soda and cornstarch 3 times.
Add alternately the flour and sour milk.
Grease and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
Bake for 45 minutes, or until firm to the touch, in moderate 375\u00b0 oven.
