Mexican Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. cornmeal mix
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 small can creamed corn
    1/2 c. finely chopped onion
    6 jalapeno peppers, finely chopped
    1 1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
    1/4 c. cooking oil
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 eggs, beaten
Preparation
    Mix together ingredients, adding all but 1/2 the cheese.
    Heat oil and pour mixture in skillet while hot.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cheese on top.
    Bake at 400\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
