Dark Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    1 lb. sugar (3 c.)
    1 lb. flour (5 c.)
    10 eggs
    1 c. molasses (with enough baking powder (1 tsp. ) to make foam
    3 lb. raisins
    2 lb. currants
    1 glass brandy
    2 glasses wine
    1 tsp. ground cloves
    1 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. mace
    1 lb. walnuts (4 c.)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar.
    Add eggs.
    Mix molasses and baking powder; add to batter.
    Mix spices to flour; alternate flour and liquid.
    Add raisins, currants and walnuts.
    Pour in greased and floured tube pans.
    Bake in a 250\u00b0 oven for 3 hours.
