Kentucky Cornbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. corn meal
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 egg white
    3/4 c. buttermilk
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
Preparation
    Preheat oven at 425\u00b0.
    Lightly oil iron skillet or heavy baking pan and heat in oven.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Beat egg whites, buttermilk and oil; add to dry ingredients.
    Stir lightly with wooden spoon.
    Pour batter into preheated skillet.
    Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until done.
    Makes 6 servings, 160 calories per serving.
