Glorified Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. water
    1 tsp. butter or margarine
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. Minute rice
    1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple in juice, well drained
    1 c. coconut
    1 c. miniature marshmallows
    1/4 c. chopped drained maraschino cherries
    1 3/4 c. (4 oz.) Cool Whip, thawed
Preparation
    Combine water, butter and salt in saucepan, bring to boil. Stir in rice, cover and set off heat.
    Let stand 5 minutes, fluff with fork and let cool.
    Stir in pineapple, marshmallows, coconut and cherries.
    Fold in Cool Whip, cover, chill about 1 hour. Serves 8.
