Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. raw peanuts
    2/3 c. white Karo syrup
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Mix peanuts, sugar and syrup in heavy, oversize saucepan. Boil until honey-colored, stirring constantly.
    Remove from heat and immediately stir in baking powder, stirring briskly.
    Mixture will almost double in bulk.
