Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. baking soda
    2 sticks butter
    2 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    pinch of salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
    4 c. pecans
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients, except vanilla and pecans. Cook to soft-ball stage. Cool quickly and stir while cooling. Add vanilla and pecans. Drop teaspoonfuls on wax paper. When firm, wrap each one in Saran Wrap.
