Old-Fashioned Dried Apple Stack Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. molasses
    6 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. ground ginger
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs, one at a time.
    Mix well.
    Add molasses.
    Combine flour, soda, salt, baking powder and ginger; add to sugar mixture alternately with milk and mix well. You need a stiff dough.
    Divide dough into 7 parts.
    Roll each part to fit a 9-inch pan (layers should be thin) or pat into a well-greased and floured pan.
    Bake at 400\u00b0.
