Sour Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    6 eggs, separated
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. sour cream
    1 c. butter, softened
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour 10-inch tube pan. Sift flour, salt and soda.
    In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
    Add egg yolks, 1 at a time, beating well after each.
    Add vanilla.
    Add sour cream and flour alternately, beginning and ending with sour cream.
    In a small bowl beat egg whites until stiff moist peaks form when beaters are slowly raised.
    Gently fold egg whites into batter.
    Turn into prepared pan.
    Bake 1 hour or until wooden pick inserted comes out clean. Cool in pan for 15 minutes.
    Turn out on rack to cool completely.
