Whole Wheat Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 to 5 c. all-purpose flour
    2 c. whole wheat flour
    2 Tbsp. dry yeast
    1/2 c. warm water and 1 tsp. sugar
    1 1/2 c. milk (scalded and cooled to lukewarm)
    1/4 c. sugar
    1/4 c. brown sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/3 c. soft shortening
    2 eggs
Preparation
    Measure sifted white
    flour
    onto waxed paper.
    Soak yeast and 1 teaspoon sugar in
    warm
    water 5 minutes.
    Combine milk, sugar and salt in large mixing
    bowl.
    Stir
    to
    dissolve.
    Beat
    in eggs, shortening, yeast and whole
    wheat
    flour
    with
    rotary beater
    until smooth.
    Add remaining flour and mix
    until dough leaves sides of bowl.
    Turn out on board and knead until
    smooth (5 to 10 minutes).
    Place in bowl; grease top and cover with cloth.
    Let rise until doubled.
    Punch down and let rise again. Shape
    into
    rolls
    as
    desired.
    Let
    rise until doubled. Bake at 375\u00b0 for 15 to 20 minutes.
    Yields 4 dozen rolls.
