Mexican Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 pkg. taco mix
    1 head lettuce, shredded
    2 or 3 tomatoes, chopped
    1 (15 oz.) red kidney beans, drained
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) jar taco sauce
    1 pkg. large corn chips
    2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1 (16 oz.) bottle French dressing
Preparation
    Brown meat; drain well.
    Stir in taco seasoning mix.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Combine meat and remaining ingredients in a large salad bowl.
    Toss well.
    Serve with dressing.
