Oyster Dressing - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 pt. fresh or frozen oysters and liquid or 2 pt. canned oysters (uncooked)
1 1/3 c. butter
2 c. onion, finely chopped
2 c. celery, finely chopped
3 Tbsp. green pepper, finely chopped
salt and pepper
4 qt. soft bread crumbs
juice of 1 lemon
Preparation

Simmer fresh or frozen oysters in their own liquid until the edges begin to curl.
Drain and chop coarsely, saving the liquid. If using canned oysters, drain, reserve juice and chop.
