Best Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large jar Great Northern beans
    6 to 8 c. water
    1 ham bone with meat on
    3 ribs celery, chopped
    4 tsp. chopped parsley
    3 medium onions, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, pressed
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 c. V-8 juice
    2 carrots, chopped
    1 c. mashed potatoes or 1/2 c. Potato Buds
Preparation
    Place all ingredients in stock pot (except potatoes).
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and simmer 1 1/2 hours.
    Remove ham bone and remove all meat.
    Cut in small pieces.
    Add mashed potatoes to soup; bring to a boil.
    Add ham and serve.
