Ginger Creams - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/4 c. shortening
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    1/2 c. molasses
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg, salt, cinnamon and cloves
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 c. hot water
Preparation
    Cream shortening and sugar; add egg and beat well.
    Sift dry ingredients.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Dissolve soda in hot water. Stir in dry ingredients.
    Drop from teaspoon about 2 inches apart. Bake about 8 minutes.
    Frost with confectioners sugar icing.
    Spray cookie sheet with Pam before putting cookies on.
