Broccoli And Ham Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 clove garlic, minced
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    2 (13.75 oz.) cans chicken broth
    2 c. cooked ham, chopped
    2 c. broccoli, chopped (fresh or frozen)
    1 (7.5 oz.) can tomatoes, cut up
    1/2 c. water
    1/2 c. elbow macaroni, cooked
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Preparation
    In a 3-quart glass microwave-safe casserole dish, combine onion, garlic and butter.
    Microcook at High for 3 minutes or until onion is tender.
    Stir in ham, broth, broccoli, undrained tomatoes, water, macaroni and nutmeg.
    Cover and cook on High for 15 minutes or until boiling, stirring once to break up broccoli. Continue cooking on Medium for 8 minutes or until broccoli and macaroni are tender.
    Garnish with Parmesan cheese, if desired. Makes 6 servings.
