Oven Spanish Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. chopped onions
    1 c. uncooked long grain rice
    2 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    1 envelope spaghetti sauce mix
    1/2 c. sharp cheese, shredded
    1/2 c. chopped green peppers
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. water
    2 (16 oz.) cans tomatoes
Preparation
    In saucepan, cook onions and peppers in oil until tender, but not brown.
    Stir in spaghetti sauce mix, tomatoes, rice, salt and water.
    Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring often.
    Pour into a greased 1 1/2-quart casserole.
    Cover; bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 30 minutes, or until rice is done.
    Sprinkle with cheese; allow to melt in oven.
