Refrigerator Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

10 or 12 cucumbers
2 onions
1 green pepper
2 Tbsp. canning salt
1 c. water
2 c. sugar
1 c. cider vinegar, warmed
Preparation

Slice enough cucumbers (with or without peels) to fill a 1 gallon container.
(I use a 4-quart ice cream pail and fill to 1 1/2-inches from top.)
Add onions and green pepper, adjusting to taste.
Stir salt into water until dissolved, then pour over cukes.
Let sit on counter for 1 hour, tossing cukes after 30 minutes.
Drain, but do not rinse.
