Mini-Morsel Meringues - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 egg whites
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    1 c. granulated sugar
    2 c. (12 oz. pkg.) semi-sweet chocolate mini morsels
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Beat egg whites, salt and cream of tartar in small mixer bowl until soft peaks form.
    Gradually add sugar; beat until stiff peaks form.
    Gently fold in morsels, 1/3 at a time.
    Drop by level tablespoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
    Bake in preheated 300\u00b0 oven for 20 to 25 minutes until meringues are dry and crisp; cool for 2 minutes.
    Remove from baking sheets; cool completely on wire racks.
    Store in airtight containers.
    Makes about 5 dozen cookies.
