Mock Chicken Almond - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. sausage
    1 small onion, chopped
    1 small bell pepper, chopped
    6 (6-inch length) celery, sliced thin
    2 pkg. Campbell's dry noodle soup
    5 1/2 c. boiling water
    1 c. uncooked rice
    1 small can mushrooms, drained
    1/2 c. sliced almonds
Preparation
    Simmer together first 4 ingredients until onions are soft. In a separate pot or pan, prepare the noodle soup per directions on box using 5 1/2 cups of boiling water.
    Add the uncooked rice. Stir until mixed well.
    Add the mushrooms (pieces may be used). Combine all ingredients except almonds and bake in 9 x 13-inch dish at 375\u00b0
    for 40 minutes, covered with foil.
    Last 10 minutes, uncover.
    Sprinkle almonds over mixture and finish baking.
