Raisin And Bran Muffins - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. shortening
    4 eggs
    1 qt. buttermilk
    2 c. boiling water
    6 c. 100% bran
    5 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    5 c. flour
    1/2 lb. raisins
Preparation
    Blend sugar and shortening together; add eggs and buttermilk. Pour boiling water over bran; add to buttermilk mixture.
    Combine soda, salt and flour; stir into bran mixture.
    Add raisins and mix well.
    Spoon into greased muffin tins or baking cups.
    Bake in preheated oven to 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
