2 lb. extra lean beef, diced (top round, London broil)
2 qt. cold water
1/2 c. barley
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes, peeled
2 ribs celery, diced
1/4 c. chopped parsley
3 carrots, diced
1/3 head cabbage, shredded
1 onion, diced
3 beef bouillon cubes*
